I have discovered that my 2x great grandfather THOMAS CHAMBERS b 1839 died at St Peter's Infirmary, Derby on 30 October 1897 after an accident which occured on 21 September 1897. I would be very grateful if anyone has any further details.

I am looking for details of the arrival date in New South Wales. Denis Gordon Braley was born in 1909 in Chiswick, Middlesex, England. Parents were Benjamin Brayley and Margaret Susan Wisdom.

Denis married Doris Sarah Rawle in NSW c1935.

I would be grateful for any details concerning this family.

Margaret Isabel MURPHY - born 1896
Norah Ellen MURPHY - born 1897

I would be particularly interested to discover if dates of birth were entered in the registers because these were not known when the deaths were registered for these ladies.

Looking for any information on the following family from Weston Grove Road, Woolston. The family name is undoubtably WISDOM, but I have found Thomas Kenneth on the 1911 census and in Kelly's 1911 Directory listed as Thomas McNEIL. (His mother's maiden name). This is very strange because all other records do not point to the family changing names.

Thomas Kenneth (b1870 Chiswick, d1919 Woolston)
Maude Louise (b1873 Pewsey, d1960 Southampton, Woolston?)
Kenneth Frank (b1900 Lee, d1997 Isle of Wight)
Violet Beatrice (b 1904 Lee)
Thomas Henry (b 1908 Woolston)

Any information from a later trade directory or from any parish records would be much appreciated.

Thomas Rawlings, aged 78 yrs is shown in the 1861 census in the County Gaol in Salisbury. (RG9/1315 Folio 44 Page 37. He is a common agricultural labourer and he is definitely the chap I am after. I have traced him in earlier census in Firfield, Enford (always born Enford).

Can anyone help with any clues as to why he would have been in prison aged 78 yrs.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight / WISDOM death by drowning? 1919

Family info has it that Thomas Kenneth WISDOM was drowned whilst on a fishing boat in Southampton.

GRO death reference: South Stoneham 1919 Q2 2c 86. Age 48 yrs.

I would be very grateful if anyone can confirm this before I order the certificate. There surely would have been some reference in the local press at the time.

Enos TUCKER married Mary Ann GOLD
1854 (April, May or June)
To confirm the parentage of Enos Tucker.
