I was trying to find out the date of her 2nd marriage so that it could narrow down the date of teh 1st husband's death but I couldn't trace the marriage. I have searched the records for a marriage in just hewr name but there was no similar looking surname to that written. I think I have to conclude she did not get married in Scotland.

Thanks, its a farmer in Edinburgh in 1880's , quite unusual name for that area but could be spelt wrong.

I am trying to find the exact date of death of Herbert Maclean in 1998 or 1999. I was at general register house last week but ommitted to get the date of death. I transcribed everything else. He was age 65 at death, single and died at Crosshouse hospital in Kirlmarnock.

Would anyone who is going to register house in the next few days be able to help?

I need someone to look up the birth of Hector Macdonald Smith in Govan in 1925 and tell me the exact date of birth and who his parents were? I can see the record on the Scotland's people website but the image is not available, only the extract. So it would save me a trip... thanks!
