No problem Willsmum. I was just saying thank you as your previous reply helped me out of a hole I'd ended up in, probably the same as Sam all those years ago.

Thank you Colin, now you've mentioned Ancestry, its spurred me on to uprade my subscription and suddenly the door is wide open. High probability matches for Mary's parents and grand-parents suddenly appear at Wootton Wawen for further investigation. Thank you.

And thank you Trish.
Mary was indeed married to Henry Lucas and frustratingly died before the 1851 census and it's lovely place of birth data. Their first child William was born in Shipston but then his sister, my 2x great grandmother, was born slightly further south in Little Compton so they moved around a bit (Henry was an Agricultural Labourer) and Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire are all close to each other at that point of the map.

Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Ingram Baptism in Todenham
« on: Sunday 01 November 20 20:38 GMT (UK)  »
Hello

Do any of my rootschat friends have access to Parish Registers for North Gloucestershire?

I believe my 3xgreat grandmother, Mary Ann Ingram, was born around 1790 in Todenham on the Gloucestershire/Warwickshire border and am looking to have that confirmed plus the names of her parents - I think her father was Joseph Ingram.

Thanks in Advance, your assistance is very much appreciated.

Many thanks for the prompt reply Gadget.

TB and kidney infection sounds a very nasty combination, this chap was in the Army during WW2 and may have picked up both during his time in uniform.

I thought the other mentioned forceps so guessing the ileus was as a result of the lady giving birth. This one is an interesting twist as it's a lady from Middlesborough remembered on the Bagworth memorial whose husband was in the RAF - Desford aerodrome was a cycle ride away -its nice the village remembered her like that.

Sorry, it was indeed 1925.

It's strange you flag up Frome as I had noted an entry on the 1939 register for Edith Rose which had an additional entry for Emma Miller of a previous generation (my guess at the minute being mother) but was still investigating if Frome and Bath were conneced given they are only 16 miles apart. Thanks for the heads up.
