Dave,
The confirmation certificate is just a picture of the inside of the church with her name & date of confirmation, no more information.
From your translation of the birth certificate it would appear that Emilie Anna Gerda Kliszcz was born illegitimately & her mother was a housekeeper. The family story was that Emilie was told that she was adopted in 1930 when she was 8 years old by complete strangers & never saw her parents again so maybe she knew her father. She always wanted to know why she was adopted. I have a copy of some information about her adoption that appears to be in 1933,  but again I can't translate it. If I post a copy do you think that you could see if there is any more information.
Best regards,
Jac

Hi Dave, That's wonderful that you have confirmed that is her birth certificate. I also have a copy of her first confirmation 12/4/1931 Parish Church of St peter & Paul, Potsdam, so I think that makes her Catholic. Maybe she was baptised at the same church but I don't know how I would find that out. So grateful for your reply & information, all the best, Jac

I have a copy of a birth certificate that I believe relates to Emilie Anna Gerda Kliszcz born on the 12/6/1922 in Berlin. Could anyone translate / confirm this is correct and is the mother & fathers name mentioned anywhere. I am trying to find out about her birth parents as she was adopted in 1933 by a Josef Breuer and never saw her parents again. Given the situation in Prussia in 1932 I fear that her parents may not have survived. Would the surname Kliszcz be of Polish ancestry?
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks Jac

Thanks, Sandra,

Thanks for the information & the link about find a grave.

It would be nice to have a photo of the headstone, and also to have some confirmation that his mother was also buried in the same cemetery & maybe any other members of his family that may be buried there.

Cheers,

Jac
