Roscommon / Re: WESTON, Edward b. 1798

Hi Gary

I've not looked at this part of the tree for a long time but you are correct about Edward Weston, I now have his birth year as 1798.  He died in Ampthill in 1876.  His wife Emily was born 1811 Silsoe, Beds and died 1895 in Ampthill.  Edward is my husband's GGrandfather x3.  We live in the McLaren Vale area of South Australia.

Hi Sandie

Do you have any other names I could go on?  What are the names of the father and mother?  Sounds like these could be connected.

Lancashire / Re: Where is this? Boscot?

Thanks for that.  It is really helpful.

I'll check out births for Edward Bramwell in Burscough.  By 1871 Edward had moved to Scotland and in census returns after this, he only gives his birthplace as England.  Needle and haystack comes in mind!  lol

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Re: Charles Fry - Stepney - 1901/1891 Census
« on: Wednesday 27 May 09 11:00 BST (UK)  »
This is the line I followed until I looked at the 1911 Census and there is my Frederick Fry with his wife Rose and baby and there is also Frederick William Smyth Fry so this has led me to believe that I may have researched the wrong line.

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Charles Fry - Stepney - 1901/1891 Census
« on: Tuesday 26 May 09 13:11 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for a Charles Fry on the 1891 or 1901 Census who was an Engineer.  He had a son called Frederick Fry b. abt 1888.  Frederick Fry married Rose Elizabeth Rawlings in Old Ford, London in 1910 of which I have the certificate.  Frederick was a Dock Labourer and his father was stated as Charles Fry, occupation Engineer.

Just can't seem to find Charles on the Census returns.  I have found Frederick on the 1911 Census. which says he was born in Stepney.

Anyone help?

Thank you very much for all your help.

I know the family went to the UK after the US so maybe by 1920 they had already left.

Thanks again.

Michelle
