Durham / Re: b. SUNNYSIDE, DUR advice needed please
« on: Friday 28 January 11 08:24 GMT (UK)  »
oh dear Im not having much luck!

I have ordered the wedding certificate, to see if I can then find her birth! Currently Im assuming this is them getting married in  Dec 1874 Chester le Street. Hopefully her father is listed so I can try and find her in 1871.

Why Robert Robinson couldn't have stuck to 1 wife and left the dairy maids alone! Thanks for the Sunniside advice maybe things will become more clear upon receipt of the certificate.

Durham / b. SUNNYSIDE, DUR advice needed please
« on: Tuesday 25 January 11 11:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi I believe I have confused myself, and would like some advice please! I have a Mary J. ? born in 1849c SUNNYSIDE, DUR married to my ancestor Robert ROBINSON in the 1881 census living at his farm at Cornforth Moor Farm DUR.  Now then I am currently looking over all of my research as I think I added wrong info for his wives when I first started researching!
Where was Sunnyside? I have googled it and come up with Sunderland, Hartlepool, Crook.
By 1891 the wife was listed as Margaret.
The marriage possibilities I originally came up with doesnt feel right! Im going to order birth certs from 2 of the children with different mothers but wonder if anyone can advise on which Parish Sunnyside would come under please.
Many thanks

Hi Jeffrey,
There would probably still be ancestors in Westmorland in 1930's as Matthews father Mark was one of at least 10 children. I have my tree posted at URL:         http://www.tribalpages.com/tribes/judith1977
Barbara Longmire and John Richardson were the parents. John was born 1779 his father was William christened 3 mar 1736.
If you go to my tree please sign the guest book with name interests and then i will remember the contacts, in the future!
