Lab could =labourer!.
If he was in the mines he could've been a miners' labourer!.

Buzza has many spelling variations over time too including Busso ,Bussow,Buzzo,Buzza ...
I'm yet to find my Buzza line but mine were from Cornwall Penzance/St Hilary etc...some ended up Devon too & whilst my ancestors don't show up on it you could try looking at the Buzza family sits easily searchable via Google!. 😀 Good luck

Ok look lets put this past us shall we.

Just as a mention of interest Id like to share something about myself with you guys ok.Maybe it make you understand me somewhat ok..

To some my ways, thoughts etc seem
Old fashioned JM - me I'm not so sure...but I was born in Sydney and  raised in  Bourke in far north western nsw bush country my parents were older parents who were in there forties when they adopted my brother and I in the seventies. So well into their fifties as we grew into our teen years, I have always had nothing but older adults and people around me so I am said for my almost 43years quite wise as a result.

Up until 6 years ago I lived in Sydney.

I now reside in Qld Sth East.

This family/families are Victorians yes as it is my husband JM that is the Victorian born and bred and the German side comes in on his mums side as her mum was a Patterson. And if course there's the Overton side with English,Australian of course, and usa links. One bringing gas lightning to Melbourne.

And this is his family I'm doing. My side are English, French, Irish,Scottish (convicts, lords and ladies and everything in between lol).

If I misunderstood people then maybe I too was misunderstood because not once did I think I had given the impression that I wasn't taking anything onboard including that family lore isn't Gospel and yes things should be backed up with evidence if only you had heard all the goss we found wasn't true..I'm quite aware of that and have always kept an open mind of such things and I was reading everything, looking at links etc taking on board what you guys were saying ok I think because I was stating what is been told which in a lot of the time is all I've had as this family has been so dn secretive and non talkative it's all I've had/have.

So yes I do understand you cannot just go on family stuff just because I mightve mentioned something more than once didn't mean I didn't believe or wasn't accepting or open to what you guys n gals were saying I don't really understand where or how you thought that but anyway water under the bridge.
Let's just forget it shall we obviously Weve misunderstood each other.

It is in my opinion that I have been as nice and informative as one can be I Have not posted unpleasant commentaries quite the contrary, my not wanting further assistance has nothing to do with a lack of perseverance or unpleasantness on my part, it is the way that I have been made to feel based upon some of the comments that were directed at me. It is in saying that, if I am going to be made to feel this way then how do you feel others are going to feel also I'm being honest here..I don't feel that I'm in the wrong here when I have been  the one that has been constantly criticised in way when you don't even know me, if you don't like any comments that I have made here then I can only say that if i hadn't of been upset by some of your remarks I would not have anything to say.

You mock me by saying you get it when I tell you what I know etc you call me rude and impatient which I'm not they've been dead for years there not going anywhere in a hurry, or because I say I've got that, or I don't understand something, or this if what family has said etc...I'm not a idiot but that's how you've made me feel is this the way you treat newcomers.. I have felt some of your comments have been somewhat a little abrupt and maybe you didn't mean for that but that's the way things have come across to me so I think I'm the one here that's owed the apology I may not be s expert but I'm not a Complete  novice but more so I'm not stupid either so now you know how you have made me feel very very uncomfortable so if people would like me to stay let alone recommend this service to others than I think perhaps some here need to think about how they come across to people.

Ok so I know who Leos biological parents are ok ,when he was born, where, who he marraiued, etc etc ,as like I said I've been researching this family for many years now(still got some bricks though lol)

What I want to know is "why" he was fostered out to the Haltons and "when"

"how" do I go about finding this out?.

Thank-you.

When I was just 16 I took  over the care of funeral arrangements for my fathers funeral..my older brother wasn't living at home at the time..my mother wasn't coping. I also helped my brother arrange my mothers funeral in 2010.Nsw so I know these aren't easy times.

The "Charles and Edith Rhoda" were the Haltons' not Leos biological parents of Frederick Charles (aka Charles) Patterson and Sarah Ellen Aitkins.

If Barry had of got info off family then somebody should've known the youngest mentioned(the youngest child of Lauras was still living and is so today..just saying that's all..

okay...next question.

Laura had a brother Leo Barton Patterson born Rainbow 1910..he married Florence May Smith.
Just before his marriage he changed his name to Halton only weeks before he married.
They were a family from Tasmania if my memory serves me correctly think it was a Charles and Edith?..theres a newspaper clipping about how the dad went to court due to a dispute with one of his sons.

Anyways...according to Leos daughter (who used to work for bdm in Victoria) She said her father
had been fostered out as far as they know by this family.. I'm in Qld so I cant go and search any offline records in person..

But just wondering how would I go about determining when or why?.

Okay. Thank -you for that Andy. I thought that I had put in the relationship of Barry to Laura, must've missed that, sorry.

Thank-you to you all for all your help.

Id like to ask another question but its about Lauras brother do I post it here or start a new thread?.
