Staffordshire / James Osborne, steelworker born Cinderhill
« on: Monday 04 March 24 20:54 GMT (UK)  »
I have a James Osborne born in 1888 in Cinderhill, Sedgley father was Alfred born 1861 Mom was Emma Parker born 1862, I have him until 1911 when he is living in Hurst Hill with his father and brother and working in the steelworks, he possibly goes to Northumberland and married an Anna Bell but cannot find proof, reputed to have returned to Sedgley area but cannot find him in the 1939 census, has siblings which I have tracked down: Annie, William, Harriet, Susan and Hilda family suggest he was in Sedgley in 1942 for a family wedding but no concrete proof after 1911 census, there are James Osborne's in Northumberland but cannot tie them back to Sedgley, any help appreciated.

I have a George Wardle born 1862 baptised 07/12/1862 in West Rainton his father was William Wardle born 1828 and his Mom Elizabeth Young born 1833, in 1881 he is living in Anderson Row, West Rainton single and a miner, in the 1911 census he is living on Hambelton St, Cowper Quay, Blyth, he is married to Mary has 6 children and has been married for 26 years, Mary is down as being born in Ribblesworth which is near Sheffield or is there another one near Durham ? but this could be Kibblesworth near Lamesley in County Durham, there appear to be 2 possible surnames for Mary either Alexander or Chambers but I am struggling to find records for the marriage, it's probably right under my nose.... also the Mary I have dies in Blyth in 1917.. any help appreciated

Thanks for that have also checked Brewood and Albrighton for marriages but no luck, he was baptised as Levi and on several census as Levi as I had thought he might have changed his name, will check out the Insull connection but according to the census he was married by 1971... will keep digging many thanks..

Staffordshire / Levi Allen a Steel Roller from Bilston
« on: Monday 27 November 23 17:41 GMT (UK)  »
I have a wife of Levi Allen as Caroline Allen but cannot find a wedding to confirm her surname:
Levi was born in Sedgley according to the census in 1861 he is a single man working as a steel roller living in Falkland St Wolverhampton, in 1871 he is still living in Falkland St Wolverhampton but is now married to Caroline he is now from Bilston and an iron Roller but I am struggling to find wedding details, other information suggests he was born in Bradeley near Bilston his father is Thomas Allen and his Mom Ann Naylor.
Any help appreciated
