Warwickshire / Baptism circa 1829-1831, Stratford upon Avon
« on: Tuesday 07 December 21 19:22 GMT (UK)  »
:) Can anyone help please. My 3 x great grandmother Catherine Selina Whale was born circa 1830-1831 to John Whale, a coal merchant, mother Elizabeth (formerly Sanders Gilbert). Almost certain that Catherine was born in Stratford. On the 1841 census, she's at a private boarding type school in Stratford down as Selina Whale(her parents both having passed away) family church was Holy Trinity. Had a look online at various websites but can't find anything. For some reason, her parents married in Derbyshire, looked to see if there was any records there but nothing. Any help is appreciated.

Doris's surname at death was Lock, she never married but had one daughter who is also deceased.

I don't know where Albert or Lydia were born and haven't yet received the death ceetificate.

You'd be surprised at how much dishonesty was about back then relating to recording of information.

Travelling People / Lock - Holyhead Anglesey/ help with marriage etc
« on: Saturday 25 July 20 00:51 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help please. I am trying to find a marriage and other records for Albert Lock, a basket maker, Holyhead, Anglesey. Albert had 2 children by Lydia, her maiden name is recorded as Hooper then Cooper on both children's birth entries, 1 child died in infancy, the other child Doris lived until the end of the 1980s. Lydia died in 1928 aged 35, her children by Albert born 1923 and 1928 respectively. I cannot find a marriage for Albert and Lydia, looked extensively. I cannot evidence that Albert or Lydia originated from Anglesey but pretty sure they were both from North Wales. Both Doris and Sophia were born in Holyhead, Turkey Shore, in a caravan.
Thank you.

Hi, I don't think its my Elizabeth, her father was definitely a plumber. I think she may have had a brother called Owen but no solid evidence.

My 2 x great grandmother Elizabeth Jones was born in Llanwrst circa 1833-1834. Her father is down as John Jones (a plumber) on her 1862 marriage certificate.
I am looking for a baptism for her.
I know this is a common surname but if anyone can help, it would be appreciated, thank you.
