Hi all

Thanks for your efforts. I too have seen the mentioned tree, and you would think they married
in 1871ish, but as Gadget says, there is no supporting evidence to a marriage.

Hi

I think that must be the case, especially with the age difference.
Elizabeth does use the Massie name on the later censuses though.

Hi both
Moses is down as a Massie and all later children are Massie too.
On the 1881 census Elizabeth is a Massie living with John.

Hi there

Can anyone help with finding a marriage please. I'm looking
for a Elizabeth Lloyd marrying John Massie/Massey in the Much
Wenlock area about 1871/1873. She is a Lloyd on the 1871 census
and a Massie on the 1881 census, with a son Moses, who is 9yrs.

Hi all

Thanks for your replies. I do have the details for the children, but not Hannah, shes new. Thanks
Spendlove. The deaths of both John and Hannah is new info, which is great.
How would I find the birth of John Lloyd? Looking on Ancestry is like looking for a needle in a
haystack. There are too many Johns. I dont suppose a visit to Shropshire Archives would be any
easier!

Hi there

Just returned to searching my ancestors and I need a few pointers as to where to go next.
My 4x great grandfather is a John Lloyd b. abt 1770 in Shropshire. I believe he married a
Hannah Watkins in 1796 and the first of their 7 children was born in 1798, in Homer, Much
Wenlock, Shropshire. I have John and Hannah on the 1841 census living in Much Wenlock and
it just says b. Shropshire.
Where would I look to find their marriage and Johns birth, with common names that they have.
Seems to be a lot of possible John Lloyds on Ancestry. ???

regards Ian
