I have a picture postcard of the Hostel at 22 Highbury Quadrant.  From 1923 - so a bit earlier than when your relative was there, but thought it might be nice for you to see the place.  On the back is the words "the photo is the Hostel"  Sorry for the large images - some scrolling across is needed

Does anyone know if there was a branch of the Salvation Army in the Finsbury Park area of London circa 1930s? I have come across a picture of a relative wearing what I believe to be SA uniform

Does anybody know what 22 Highbury Quadrant Islington was used for in the 1940s.

I have found a relative living there in 1947 and am not sure whether it was a childrens home or a home for unmarried mothers.

Or was it a private house that housed at least 25 females at the same time?

Any help would be appreciated
