Emily M had an aunt Sarah Jane Brown b.1861 Wootton Lincs. so this looks like the marriage

"Keyboard86" I have a provisional marriage for Emily Millinda Cartwright Dec. 1912 Pocklington to a William I Watling , there is a rumor that he remarried ?, there are two Watling births In Selby, George TA b.1913, mother Cartwright, & William T Watling b,1925 mother Otley?

Unsure of the search area !, in the 1891 cen the above is shown  at the above location along with his family and boarders. I am trying to find his marriage to Betsy M  ? b. 1868 Lincolnshire.

Just a clarification, my father referred to in the first post G E Bacon, b. 1906 Keighley, d. 1980 Barnsley was not in the R.N. he was in the R.A.F. enlisted 1943 Cardington ser. no. 1884157. Incidentally with the previous  advice from  Roots chatters i obtained his birth cert, thank you.

Just to put a cat amongst the pigeons my father married 4 or 5  times ? see (marriages, 1929 - 1957, west riding George e bacon)
I can affirm all except the 1955 one with Dorothy Lockwood, my sister from his first marriage says that 4 times married is correct ! but i seem to have a childhood recollection of an another one, i have not applied for a cert on the queried  marriage maybe i should just to clarify matters, i wonder if he is the G. E. Bacon referred to in the latest posts ? bodger

I have the above m. 1925 Belper, Gladys M Holmes.
I am trying to find details of Gladys, i e. birth and death,There is a death Gladys M Bacon 1941 Ilkestone aged 31 = b.1910, that would mean she married at age 15 ?, Looking on free 1939 for William H Bacon i find one in Ripley with a Gladys M Palfreyman ( Bacon) plus one other, maybe a child ?.
Any suggestions on identifying Gladys without resorting to marriage certs?
