I see from a quick internet search on these names that you have made similar posts before, could you please let us know what info you already have on Henry. It will save duplication and time while also giving us a little more to work with.

Thanks

Theres a marriage between a George Humfress and and Eleanor Blanche Ball in 1881 in Cawnpore, Bengal. Its the only one I can find in roughly the right time period, not sure how it all fits together right now will keep looking. Is it possible Blanche is his mother and she remarried George ?
Off to search some more

Hi
I had a look at the marriage you mentioned and it seems Humfress was not Harrys birth name. the entry read Harry Humfress formerly STUART. His father id listed as William Stuart. hope this helps

I found a marriage that may be of interest on Free BMD. In the Dec Q of 1871 Charles Collins married a Elizabeth Mary Lethey in Dorchester Volume 5,  Page 765.

Its the only other one in Dorset that I can find

I may have found them in 1891 at Cambridge Place, Bloomsbury Street, Nechells, Aston, Warwickshire. Just Martha and John both 72, both born in Warwickshire. Johns occupation is a Retired Loco Engine Driver.

If you can find his death cert it will hopefully have his parents names on it.

I cant find them on any other census except in 1841 but I'll keep looking.

Hope this helps

Hi

I've had a quick play around with the spelling of Verhoogen and I've found a Roman Catholic Baptism for a Antonine Mariam Richardum Verhoogan born 18 Apr 1914 at 306 W 23Rd ST, Manhatten, baptized 29 Apr 1914 at St Vincent de Paul. Parents shown as Francisco Verhoogan and Erma de Ryck.

It seems Thomas was a twin. I'll have a look and see if I can find out what happened to the baby.

Hope this helps,

I had a quick look for you and I can see Irma's Naturalization Petition and the only child listed on it is Robert, I found the family on the 1920 US Census and again Robert is the only child listed. I will keep looking

Family History Beginners Board / Re: Cheesman family

Hi

I have Cheesemans/Cheesmans connections to Brighton tracing back to Berkshire on my other half's side of the tree.

It would be great if you could post some specifics to see if were are chasing the same family.

I have a few Williams but cant remember the specifics and I don't have my notes here to check, will have to get back to you.

From memory I think there were marriages to the surnames Woolford and Monger amongst others.

Hopefully were are looking at the same family

 :)
