Mum and I are researching her maternal Grandmothers Family and this is where it gets complicated. (I will list the names below)

We always considered them to be Whiteleys Nan's Marriage and Birth cert and postcards to (prior to her marriage) and from her to her mother use that name,  they are found in the 1881 census using the name Whiteley along with her fathers unkle.

The complication comes getting any further than this, Mum visited a second cousin related to Nans sister Lilly who is a year older than her. Her Birth cert says she is a Wakeling as does her marriage cert.  If the siblings I have found in BMD index all bar Nan and a sister a year younger are Wakelings  all have the same parents.

It is complicated further in that they often worked abroard and moved around with work (Father and Unkle horse trainers several brothers jockeys Nan was a nanny and older sister a governess/nanny)

I would be very interested in anyone connected with Nans 9 siblings who married and had children.
