Let us hope that Stuart who posted this query in September 2016 will return to the post sometime  ;)

Oops! Although I leave myself logged in I haven't actually been on here for a fair while as I haven't had the time to do anything family orientated lately. Thanks for your suggestions and comments everyone, I will endeavour to work my way through things as soon as possible :)

Bound to be a better way than this, but the quickest way I can think of at the moment is to go to the "find person" bit on the right hand side and from the drop down select "list all people". This will list them all alphabetically along with birth and death. You then just scroll through them focusing on the death column. It'll obviously take time though...

edit to say this is on Ancestry!

Hi
Elizabeth Wellcoat was also a 1st cousin x3 removed of mine and I have a lot of information from her mother's side if you are interested in following that line as well.

Hi there.
Thanks for the information. I did send you a personal message earlier on in the year but in case you didn't get it....
Ok, so in a nutshell:
Back in the 1800s the "original" Wellcoat (Joseph 1842-87) married Mary Philp (1839-87). Mary had a brother William (c.1841-1905) who was my 2nd Gt Grandfather. I can bring the Philp line forward for you if you like, and I've also done a lot of research into the Wellcoats, which I'm happy to share.
Cheers

Jomot.
You are a star - thank you very much for all the information. His mother's surname was indeed Rutherford and I think at least one other of his siblings (Isabella Jane) went over to the States at some point.
Cheers

Hi Stan
Thanks for all your help so far. The man I'm looking at is a Thomas Henderson, born 1879 and in the 1911 census living in Walthamstow. I'm trying to see if he is the same Thomas Henderson who is in my tree born 1879 in Billingham (1881 and 1891 census).
Arthur - thanks very much for those links. I'll look into them tomorrow.
Cheers
Stuart

Thanks Arthur - I guess that's possible. Was there a community there? ONly ask as it's listed as a birthplace.

Durham / Chilton Colling?

Hi all
Just a quick one please. Does a place called Chilton Colling actually exist in Durham, and if so is it anywhere near Billingham? Google has been less than helpful with regard to the former.
Many thanks
