Harriett Arnold is my husbands grandmother.  She married George  Nicols Hunter in Fremantle in 1905 and is buried in Bunbury Cemetery - she died in 1955.  She had 5 children - Gwen, Madge, George, Allan & Ken (my husbands father).  My husband is also George Hunter - alive and well, 3 sons, 3 grandchildren, all living in WA.

Hi,
My name is Christine Hunter.  I have information on Harriett.
She was born in Castlemaine Vic in 1872, parents William Arnold and Eliza Morton.  She had an older sister also named Harriett who died prior to the second Harriett being born.
Around 1900 Eliza, Harriett, sister Rebecca and brother John moved to Fremantle WA where they had a boarding house.  George Nicholls Hunter lodged there and married Harriett in 1905, she put her age down by 4 years as she was 8 years older than George.  Eliza and Rebecca later returned to Victoria.
They had 5 children, Gwendoline Maud, James Allen, Barbara Madge, George Nicholls (Jnr) and Kenneth Arnold (my father in law).
George (Snr) died in 1949 and Harriett in 1956, they are buried in Bunbury cemetery.
George (Jnr) moved to Geelong and died on a trip back to Perth, he was cremated at Karrakatta cemetery and his ashes returned to his family in Geelong.
My father in law Kenneth married Jessie Allen, they had 3 children - Lorraine Joan, George Arnold (my husband) and Maxwell Allen.
My husband George has 3 sons from his 1st marriage, we have none together.  My husband is the last George Hunter.
I hope this answers all the questions.
Please email me if you require further information.  I have all relevant certificates - births, marriages and deaths.
Regards,
Christine Hunter
