Hello, I'm looking for help deciphering the profession and place of death for William Hogg. This is the word after his name (Hogg) and the column left of "Bowel Complication". I've attached the file for assistance. Thank you!

Fife / Re: Seeking Information on HOG(G) ALLOA (ALLAN) In Kingbarns Fife

Thank you for the information. From a historic perspective, how/why would someone from Kingbarns meet up with someone from Edinburgh and have a connection to Preston Mill? It seems rather far for casual travel given the time period. Did something happen in Scotland during this time similar to the "Year without a Summer" around 1815? Any other clues I can follow? Thank you again!!

What/Who is the Minister the Tenor? I'd like to understand so I can continue research. Thank you.

I’m looking for any additional information regarding these and other relatives of these individuals in the Tranent, Pencaitland and Ormiston areas. « on: Monday 01 May 23 20:27 BST (UK)  »
I'm searching for William Hog(g) and Jean (Jane) Alloa who were Married in the Parish of Kingsbarns, Fife March 20, 1791 OR February 11, 1791 in Edinburgh

William Hog(g) may have worked in Edinburgh and his parents are unknown

Jean’s parents may have been James Allan and Janet Carse of Preston Mill where James was a farmer (?)

William and Jean had four children whose births in Kingbarns, Fife are below:
1.   John Hog - born on 23 December 1791
2.   William Hog - born on 8 September 1793
3.   Janet Hog - born on 20 December 1795
4.   James Hog - born on 14 May 1798

Possible death of Jane Allan, the widow of William Hogg, was buried in the Calton Burial Ground, Edinburgh on March 1, 1835.

Any assistance to point me in the right direction to find/verify more information on these or other family members is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
