Oh my, that was very interesting. I love finding more information that gives you an idea of what their lives were actually like.  I always wondered why Amy left the area and ended up marrying in Londonderry, Ireland. Thank you for this great newspaper clip!

Just an update for anyone coming across this thread. Found "Amy" as Amelia Bridget Brown b. ~1860 in Hakin, Milford. Mother is Corbetta E. Mathias and Charles was never listed because he was a Seaman and not listed on any census with Corbetta. Corbetta is listed living at Sloop Inn on Point Street as the Innkeeper while her husband was at sea.

Michael - birth 14 Nov 1850; no baptism record I could find but I did confirm parents through marriage record.
Patrick - birth 1852, but on death record states 1853; baptism 17 Mar 1852, Killeavy Upper, Armagh
Mariam - birth 1855; baptism 25 Mar 1855, Urney, Cavan
Philippium - birth Nov 1858; baptism 14 Nov 1858, Urney, Cavan

This person has added almost 200,000 memorials through the site, so I am assuming there is no inside information. The memorial was probably added when the photo was taken and maybe the information was added incorrectly?

Cavan / MARTIN, Philip & MCMAHON, Mary

Looking for some help finding a marriage record for Philip Martin (b. abt 1826) and Mary McMahon (b. abt. 1818).  I am hoping to get some information from their marriage record to continue with our family tree.

As far I can tell they immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1872, with their 4 children (Michael, Patrick, Mary and Philip). From what I can gather, all the children were born in Cavan, Ireland.

Mary died 6 Aug 1883 and then Philip died 25 May 1895. This information comes from their headstone at Saint Michael's Cemetery in Toronto, Canada (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/66772490). They both originated from Ireland. It states that Mary is from Co. Cavan on the headstone, but not sure about Philip. It does say he is from Dublin, Ireland on the information from Find a Grave website but I have no information to confirm that. I also can't seem to find a Ontario death record for either of them.

The only census I have is of 1891 in Toronto, Canada of Philip (widowed) living with his daughter's family (Mary Mcdonald).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I seem to be stuck without any further information regarding Philip and Mary's parents.
