Hi Prestonian,

I'd love to know if you recognise any of the names I've listed above, and see if we can connect the ancestors.

I am also from Preston - but live in Oxfordshire now.

Hi Bruce,

It would be great if you could share what you have. My Grime connection starts with Alice Grime b.1852. her siblings were Betsey, Mary, Ann, Richard & Peter. Her father was John Grime b. c1811. She married Robert Heaps in Preston on 17th July 1870. Do you recognise any of these ?

Thanks.

Hi Joyce,

Yes...its a very old message but luckily I have the same email address so I got an email telling me about your post.

I haven't followed my Grime line back too far yet Joyce, but I will get there. I'm back to 1811, not far enough to connect to you. I will keep you in mind though, and post on here if I find a connection.

I have just started a new blog and am currently moving all the info over onto the blog.

Paul - I'd be very interested in the certificate. Many thanks.

Lancashire / Bamdon - a place in Lancashire ?
« on: Saturday 10 December 05 17:56 GMT (UK)  »
Does anyone know if Bamdon is a place in Lancashire. I have someone on the 1851 census listed as being born at Bamdon. I've never heard of it. I had a look at the original image and it definitely looks like Bamdon.

Any ideas anyone ?
