Other Countries / Trinidad birth records between 1812 and 1836
« on: Monday 05 April 21 09:37 BST (UK)  »
I’m looking for some birth records for some of my Graham Ancestors that were born in the West Indies between 1815 to 1836.

Parents:
Father: Joseph Graham Born: 1777 Saltoun, East Lothian, Scotland. Died: 1842 East Stonehouse, Devonshire
Mother: Unknown

Children
Henry Graham Supposedly born: 1815 in Scotland but no records for him being born there, which makes me think he was also born in the West Indies, as his brother James was born there 3 years later.
James Beard Graham Born: 1818 West Indies, Trinidad. Died: 1882 Kensington, London

Joseph shows up on various marriage banns for his children occupation/profession as Esquire / Merchant / Planter
Joseph had a young brother Henry Graham Born: 1791 Saltoun, East Lothian, Scotland. Henry is also cited as being a gentleman on his daughter Jane’s marriage banns.

Jane L Graham Born: 1824 West Indies, Trinidad

If some kind person could point me in the direction of such records i would be most grateful  :)

The people marked in red are the ones i want to find the birth records for .

I think you're right Rosie about them being copies. I'll purchase Reginald's birth and Joseph's death cert to see if they reveal anymore clues.

Thanks again for all your help  :)

Thanks for tracking down Fanny in those two census records :-)

I've found these three trees that all have Joseph Graham in them;

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/tree/20025118/family/pedigree
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/tree/5241663/family/pedigree
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/tree/48411175/family/pedigree

This tree...
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/person/tree/45770706/person/6424026010/facts
gives an exact date and place for the marriage of Joseph Graham and Jane Milburn. Sadly it doesn't link to a marriage record. I don't have a worldwide access membership with Ancestry, so I wouldn't be able to check it even if they did.
