I am looking for information on David Lyell who married Mary Greed 1760. He was an innkeeper at the Black Bear in Piccadilly. I would like to know if he ever had a connection to the Chesterfield Arms in Little Carrington Street. His daughter Allison married Joseph William Carrington from Hanover Square and had two daughters Mary and and Maria. I would like to know if the daughters married.

I am searching for a marriage.
Ann Carrington born 1710 in Wetton Staffordshire UK married someone Harvey, and was later widowed. The marriage may have been in Wetton or possibly Middlesex.
Here's hoping, Fauxylady.

Hi all, Yes Caz is related to our Charles Jones who turned started life as Robert Carrington from Kidderminster son of Joseph William Carrington and his wife Jane Bradney. She descends from his third marriage as Charles Jones in Australia. Cheers Fauxy Lady

Thank you Cider drinker and Phillipsearching.
Nathaniel had a daughter Ann 1710 and a Martha 1719. As they tend to name their children after family members you maybe right about Samuel and Ann.
Nathaniel first daughter was Jane (after the mother) I do not have FindMyPast only Ancestry and Family Search. I wondered if Samuel is connected to the Leek Carringtons?
Thanks

Staffordshire / Nathaniel Carrington

Nathaniel Carrington born in Wetton 1661-1749. He was a yeoman. His wife was Jane Gillman 1680-1740 from Wetton. He would have been about 30 when he married.
They had several children including Nathan born 1700 or 1702 who became a Kings messenger. And Jonathan born 1717 who was a footman to the Duke of Cumberland and later became a yeoman guard (my line). Another son Samuel born 1713 may have been a cordwainer.
I am looking for a descendant of Nathaniel's who may have family knowledge of him and who his parents were. Hope someone can help.

Thanks for your help. Anyone who sees an answer in my note is wecome to comment. That is the point of family history digging to find what you can as far back as provable.
At least I found Charles Jones who turned into Robert Carrington and proved it with DNA with lots of help from Mark and family connections who have done DNA  so thats off the bucket list.  :-*

Trish1120. Yes I knew about the earlier marriage to Alison Lyall they had 2 girls, no trace of them in the indexes after their marriages.
I have discovered from her father Phillip Buckingham's will a previously unknown child Elizabeth between Charlotte Rosina and Joseph William.
Charlotte was 31 when Joseph died and she had 5 children dependent on her.
She inherited a lot of property from her father l suspect she was the sole surving child. I don't think Joseph had a will at 44. When he died she was executing her fathers will probate Oct. 1808. An added side bar to Phillip's will from what l can read indicates she was dead by 1828 and called Carrington.
Maybe her son Joseph was not academic and opted to be a shoe maker by choice. But why Kidderminister? Fauxy Lady
