Hi Diana
John OLIVER and Caroline were my GGG Grandparents.  I am descended from their eldest son William (Edward) OLIVER born 5 Jan 1844 at Marloes.
Would love to hear how you are related.

Pembrokeshire Lookup Requests / 1841 Census for OLIVER
« on: Thursday 23 February 06 08:13 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I would like to find any John OLIVER's on the 1841 Census.

My GGG grandfather was John OLIVER (labourer) born abt 1823 (at Steynton on 1851 and 1861 census).  On his marriage in 1842 his father was John OLIVER (blacksmith).

I think his father may be the John OLIVER who married Mary DAVIS in 1823.
On the 1851 and 1861 Census John born abt 1800 (blacksmith) and Mary OLIVER born abt 1800 are living at Talbenny.

On the John Oliver born abt 1823 marriage certificate it looks like the Residence at the time or the marriage was Wintern.

Thanking you
Christy

Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / 1841 Census - Blake family at Hartpury
« on: Sunday 01 January 06 18:45 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I am wanting to know if a John BLAKE born c 1801 and his wife Elizabeth born c 1803 are on the 1841 Census at Hartpury.  They should have a son John born c 1838.  Also if there is a Moses LIMBRICK living at Hartpury this would be of interest as Elizabeth married him after John died in 1843.

Thanking you

Staffordshire Lookup Requests / 1841 Census Lookup - William DUDLEY
« on: Friday 30 December 05 03:54 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I have a William DUDLEY born about 1828, place of birth Bilston according to the 1851, 1861 and 1871 Census records.

His marriage states that his father was William DUDLEY occupation pickler and William the son born 1828 was also in the tin trade in later years.

I cannot find any birth details for William born about 1828 so any help would be appreciated

Thanking you
Christy

Channel Islands Lookup Requests / Re: Marriage look up please - Jersey
« on: Saturday 26 November 05 08:06 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Mike,

Thank you for that information.  I well get a copy of the marriage certificate.

I think I have found Mary Linthorn on the 1871 Census in Jersey.

Mary Linthorn Head Widow age 67 (she was 35 on the 1841 Census and 40 on the 1851 Census and I have not been able to find her on the 1861 Census)
born St Heliers Livng at 49 Garden Lane, St Heliers.

She must have died before 1881.  She was my 3 times Great Grandmother and until lately I have not been able to find very much out about her.  I still do not know her fathers name.  But suspect that it might have been Henry BUCKINGHAM.

Thanks for all your help

Christy
