Lanarkshire / Re: Neilsland & Earnock in Hamilton
« on: Thursday 26 January 12 15:53 GMT (UK)  »
I was with our group Friends of Udston and Glenlee Woods on invite to Neilsland= Earnock Woods from Gillians Group in May 2011. I was absolutley captivated by the Woodland and it's History. The Rhododendrum was in full bloom in all it's beuaty. The group had pictures of the Swiss Cottage, Mansion House and it filled me with amazement of the granduer of the period and affluence of the Watson family.  If you haven't been there yet, set a date in your diary for May 2012.

Thank you jlmc for the info regarding Dunnottar marriage. Freeman+ Taylor.
I had a copy of the Banns courtesy of Scotlands People, but not the actual
date or whereabouts. The Auquherie link with Anne Taylor would tie in as
James Freeman was a Farm servant.  Is the Register of St James's Episcopal
Church Stonehaven available on line.
