The modern Ordnance Survey Map shows what looks like a large industrial (?) building on that corner. Brian.

My mother was Gladys Mary Croft. My grandfather was Taylor Croft. Not sure how! He was resident inPudsey in Yorkshire, where he became Mayor after 2nd WW. Sorry not much more information. Brian

Hi,
I think we may be related.
My mother's grandfather was a Tayler/Taylor whose family farmed in Lacock in the 19th Century. He left and went to Pudsey in Yorkshire and ran the gas works there.
Do you know any more, please?
