Was your great grandfather in the British Army in WW1?

Italian Front:
 "Ambulance Trains: 18th, 39th, 43rd ATs all remained in the theatre after arrival from France; 15th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, 30th, 31st, 41st all returned to France in period January to July 1918. 41st AT then came back to Italy in July 1918."

I am interested in knowing if ambulance train was a thing in ww1 in italy, after doing a long and extencive project on about 20 postcards from my granny, i am trying to work out how my great grandfather got from taranto to arquata scravia.

hello

im looking for any infomation regarding arquata scrivia in italy and it being the britsh base. my great grandfather had this tin in his pocket during ww1. id like to know if it was a tin of food or somthing else, some one tried telling me it was souviner he brought back but i dont think its the case and this tin has been cut and not professionally. i have found out that this was a disused wine factory

there was a duo metioned in the news papers called watson and moulden and they are advitising in the surrey and guildford advister, i think i breifly mulled over it because it was a george moulden name not albert, might be worth looking at again i think

Not sure why he'd change his surname to George?

Anyway, there's an Albert William George, upholsterer,  living in Kentish Town with his family in 1901, so I don't think he's your chap

yeah i ruled him out aswell after a quick check.

idk why he would change his name to george, with this guy i think any thing is possible lol
