I found Nellie's baptism. The only parent listed is Blanche Matilda Crane and she is listed as a single woman. I think i have found my missing Nellie Crane.

I have found one Nellie E Crane born to Blanche in 1894. Blanch married several years later but all that is listed for father is Crane. No first name. So i am wondering if maybe Blanch had Nellie out of wedlock and John and his wife "adopted" her. This is the only Nellie I have found linked to this family.

Australia / John Pye Crane's missing child
« on: Wednesday 02 January 19 04:38 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all

I am currently looking for the missing child of John Pye Crane and Leah Eleanor/Eleanor Leah Moore. I have found birth records for their children: Alfred, Blanche, Edgar and Roland. However I have found a newspaper article listing his children as Alfred, Blanch, Edgar, Bruce (Roland) and Nellie. I have not been able to find anything on Nellie and I was hoping someone else might be able to help me. If i am correct, as the newspaper articles lists them from oldest to youngest, then Nellie would be born after 1878, which was when Roland Bruce was born. The other four children where born in Castle Hill or Parramatta, so if anyone else has any luck, i would greatly appreciate it.

JC, I honestly thought it was my computer because mine had been doing the same thing, and then the 1939 registry just wouldn't work at all. It seems to be ok now but I havent used it for a few days.

Anyone else having trouble accessing the 1939 Registry on Find My Past. Every time i try to do a search it comes up saying that they are sorry and to try again or contact support.

It was working fine last night and this morning but now it wont work at all.

if its working fine for others, any suggestions to get mine working again would be great. :)

That Ellen was born 20 Nov 1869, and admitted to the Princess Mary Village Homes in Addlestone at age 5.

I have already followed the Ellen Fisher who died in 1884 in Addlestone. It isn't her as that Ellen had been in the home since she was younger and someone found the information that listed her parents names at the time she was admitted into the home. I thought it was her as well to begin with as well.
