Paula - you are right, it seems the Collie mix of dogs, seemed to run in the family.  Thank you for bringing his picture clearer to see.  I myself had a Heinz 57 dog that I got when I was 13.  I loved that dog more than anything.  Marianne

Trishanne - we got a new computer for Christmas and some how your post was lost in the tsf. of e-mails from old to new.  For that I apologise in not sending a thank you out.  Your assistance in helping to restore my very, very sad couple of pictures, was most appreciated.  My relatives have had a real journey on this site, and each time the results have been amazing!  Thank you so much for your time and expertise.  Marianne

Paula, thank you so much for going back to my photo and trying your hand at the restoration.  It must have taken you quite a long time and that and the effort put into this restoration on my behalf is very much appreciated.  On behalf of my family, past, present & future, I thank you.  Marianne

Hi Bob:  I entered my full name under username and would of course like to change that, but I can't see where.  I have printed out your instructions and I see the line under my username when I hover the mouse cursor over it, but I don't see a line in the bottom of my browser with my ID number.  I thought if I went to my profile I could do it there but no luck there.  I would like to change it to Familyfirst, can you help me.

P.S.  I have already posted under my real name on a Photo restoration request and the forum came back with 7 corrections.  Very, very helpful, but now what happens to the corrected pictures if I change my username?  Thank you.  Marianne

To all the wonderful people who helped make my Christmas and my families Christmas just that bit brighter for working so hard and fast on this request you are all angels.  To Handypandy, jloy326, japeflakes & McGroger, may this holiday season be filled with all you desire.  I toast to your good health from Canada.  Marianne

I am hopeful that someone can help with photo restoration of these two photos.  All my life I heard about the sod house my mother lived in while growing up on the Sask. prairie.  She was one of five girls born to my grandparents and her oldest sister Donna who was born in 1905, is in both of these photos.

1st photo - about 1907, as they homesteaded in 1906 in Perdue, Sask.  It has my grandmother - Ethel Sabina Baker (nee Scott) sitting in the wagon seat, my grandfather - John Alexander Baker is standing by the horse(s), my great-grandfather Richard Scott is standing by the wagon wheel and holding my aunt Donna Baker's hand.  In the wagon is sod for the sod house that you can see behind the wagon as half constructed.

2nd photo - about 1909, after the sod house is built in Perdue, Sask.  It has my great-grandmother - Maria Louisa Scott (nee Hayter) standing with dog Jeff, and my aunt Donna heading towards the sod house.

I realize these pictures are in very bad condition, but if they could be made a bit clearer it would be a huge help.  Thank you.  Marianne
