Technical Help / Re: Ancestry Family Tree Display problems
« on: Tuesday 22 February 22 16:52 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks everyone, I think it was a glitch related to the new layout. So similar to Corley's comment above....
What I should have tried beforehand was looking at a different tree, in this case my partner's - it then took me through the new layout options on that tree and when I went back into 'my' tree it was fine. Very odd!

Well hopefully this will help if anyone has the same issue!

Technical Help / Ancestry Family Tree Display problems
« on: Tuesday 22 February 22 12:29 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all,
Has anybody been having problems displaying family trees in Ancestry recently? It's been like this for a few days now - see attachment - basically a grey and white box covering every and everything then freezes.
I've updated chrome and cleared my browsing data but the problem persists! Never had a problem before - very strange.
Does anyone know how to fix it?!

I "find myself" a lot... Whenever I google something in the family tree and a really interesting result comes up, it's almost invariably my own post on Rootschat  ::)
This happens to me a lot too!!  ;D

Hi Erik and everyone else!
I am researching my partner's family tree (and also made contact with Claire already!) He is related to Thomas and Jane Davys mentioned above through their son Thomas Davys and Harriet Heal and their son Edward Thomas Davys which is his great grandfather. We've been to Raddington and the church and it's lovely!

Did anyone else notice how the speech seemed to be heavily edited. I've been noticing that a lot recently and it really bugs me!!....

Wasn't a bad episode I thought, in what hasn't been the best series by any means.

Wow, this is a fantastic site! - I've actually found some very elusive Stevens (Stephens) and Gregorys. Brilliant!
Thanks for posting this!

The only snobbery which this episode has highlighted is contained within this forum. The chip-on-their-shoulder "Ag Lab elitists" of this forum should perhaps spend next week digging in a field and tending to sheep so as not to be offended by the wealth of other people's ancestors.

Just a personal opinion mind...

Not offended by it just not interested in it.
That's just my personal opinion. I found your comment about 'ag lab elitists' far more offensive to be honest.

I kind of enjoyed it but found Rupert to be a bit snobbish. I am not interested in the aristocracy stories coming as I do from a long line of ag labs!.... so wasn't too bothered about the program not including that but wasn't sure why he even met up with Rose Marie Bawtree's grandson, who'd never met Fred Everett, didn't know anything about him and I agree looked very uncomfortable about the whole thing.
Pointless!..

Great Aunt Marguerite was fab - I wonder if he's going to keep in touch with her?...!.. eh?... ;D
