Monmouthshire / Re: St Mellonís parish records
« on: Today at 21:24 »
transcribed baptisms 1725 - 1869 are on FreeReg. Plenty of entries for Richard/Richards. I've checked the baptism for Lydia Richard bp 3 Dec 1732 and it is on FindMyPast only it has been indexed as Rockfield. This is not an uncommon problem with this dataset but the transcribing & indexing wasn't done by FindMyPast & they seem to think there isn't a problem. There are other threads on the these boards about them.
Coedkernew marriages are on FreeReg 1725-1813 and there are other records from c. 1800 on FindMyPast.
Rumney baptisms 1733 - 1812 are on FreeReg, on FindMyPast but indexed as Rockfield, top of register page says Rumney.
Marshfield records are on FreeReg & on FindMyPast.

Samson remarried at St Paul, Warwick 9 Oct 1915 to widow Ellen May Brind daughter of William Newton. His baptism was 26 April 1869 at All Saints, Emscote son of Denis, tin man, and Isabella Fletcher.
Pretty sure it's the James registered in Warwick. Census ref  RG13/2978 folio 18 pg 28 for Annie & James Fletcher.

Indeed!  ::)

Burial 29 April 1884 in Llanrhian Henry of Trevine is noted as 72, but the only baptism online at this time is 19 August 1804 son of William & Sarah in St David's. No sign of this Henry later.

if you use the online GRO index

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp

you can check mother's maiden name on birth regs or age at death on death regs before the period where these details are shown on transcriptions like FreeBmd. You need to register but it's free.

Trefin is in the parish of Llanrhian. No obvious baptism for Mary in that parish. But there are some to Henry Tegan & his wife Mary
Thomas bp 27 Oct 1833
Henry bp 28 Feb 1836
William 7 Oct 1838
