What a good photo of Fairfield Avenue. The person I am researching lived at 5 Fairfield Road. Do you think they would have been the same type of houses.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I am trying to find the burial place of Jane Knowles O'Hara who died on 11th December 1921 in Dublin. Any advice or help would be most appreciated. I have looked on all the online sites that I can find but nothing on them. Could anyone tell me also where I could contact for a death certificate.

My Sinclair family lived at Balindore from 1800. Peter Sinclair married Ann Campbell. Her parents were Donald Campbell and Mary McIntyre (I think they originated in Lismore). Peter and Ann's son Archibald was my g,g,grandfather (she was also referred to as Nanny Campbell). I know her husband Peter the woodcutter died between 1841 and 1851 but cannot find a death or a burial anywhere. Ann died at Balindore in 1868, her son Donald registered the death and he then took over the running of the croft. If you check the 1871 census for Donald Sinclair at Balindore you will see his brothers and sisters still living at the croft. Look forward to hearing if you think this is your family. I have visited the croft.

I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Peter Sinclair living at Achnameadhonach, Balindore, Taynult on the 1841 census but on the 1851 census his wife Ann is a widow. I have searched for where he might be buried but can't find him. I have searched Muckairn Churchyard and records, Pennyfeur Cemetery, Ardchattan Cemetery and Oban but can find no burial for him or his wife who died in the 1860s. Does anyone have anymore suggestions where I could try.

I wonder if anyone could do me a big favour. My grandfather Robert Wilson was buried at Riddrie Park Cemetery on 21st August 1944 Lair no. 6540 section G. If anyone is ever in the cemetery could they take a photograph for me please or tell me if there is a headstone, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Sligo / Re: sligo marriage of Edward Wilson and Ellen McIlroy

Thanks Shane for your reply. I have tried the family search index records and there is nothing there, I have also tried the Irish Family History Foundation site for Sligo which is a pay as you view site and found nothing. The problem with this site is you pay your money not having any idea if it is the correct person or not, with the Scottish records you have an idea before you pay if it is the correct person. I looked at 10 records and none of them were the correct ones. I know they were Church of Ireland and that all their children were born in Sligo and as Ellen was born and brought up there I am assuming she was married there. It was Sligo they left from when coming to Scotland.
