I am looking for the death/burial of Ann Chamberlain/Chamberlayn wife of George after 1694. To give an idea of age she was born circa 1627.   Hope someone can assist me.

Devon / Re: William DUNN born circa 1791 in Tiverton
« on: Wednesday 10 February 16 07:19 GMT (UK)  »
Can anyone tell me when William Dunn's (b 1791) father David Dunn died?  Or when his mother Mary died?  Also has anyone seen the marriage register of David & Mary, does it state his occupation?

I am trying to figure out if I have my David Dunn confused with this one.  I also have him baptised 19.4.1792 at Down St Mary to Honor Dunn but my David married Ann Rice 1801 at Plympton St Mary. Could this be a second marriage?  David & Ann had 9 children,  two daughters reflecting his mother's name Honor.
John   baptised 26.12.1802 at Plympton St Mary
Robert Andrews Dunn baptised 9.9.1804 Underwood Plympton St Mary
Honor born July 1805 buried 6.7.1805
David baptised 8.11.1807 Plympton St Mary
Sally Ann Andrews Dunn baptised 13.10.1811 Plympton St Mary
Honor baptised 26.9.1813 Underwood Plympton St Mary
Richard born Underwood 12.1.1816 baptised 28.1.1816 Plympton St Mary
Mary Ann baptised 6.4.1817 Underwood Plympton St Mary
Elizabeth baptised Down St Mary 1.7.1820, (another 10.7.1821)

« on: Wednesday 14 March 12 04:01 GMT (UK)  »
Hi popkiwi
my husband descends from John French & Elizabeth Clarke. They were married at Haversham Buckingham 1802 & had 5 children -
Ann 1802 b Haversham Bucks d Long Itchington Warwickshire 1830
Phillis 1806  b. Bradwell Bucks
Sarah abt 1808 b Haversham? m Thomas Green at Long Itchington Warw
William Clarke 1810 b Bradwell Bucks
Hannah 1814 possibly Bradwell Bucks, m James Beers, d 1899 Bubbenhall Warw (hubby's family)

John French died at Long Itchington Warw 1832 aged 55
Elizabeth French died Long Itchington Warw 1834 aged 58.

I have not been able to find anything further on John French or Elizabeth Clarkes parentage.

Kincardineshire / Re: Stonehaven baptism - Laing
« on: Thursday 13 November 08 06:10 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks Monica,
James was married Presbyterian & his children were also christened Presbyterian.
His death certificate has his parents as James (a farmer) & Jane nee Campbell.  I have looked at the Scotlands people for a marriage using all parishes, as again, there was nothing at Kincardineshire but there are no marriages for James Laing to Jane Campbell.  Perhaps the names are incorrect, (I have found death certificate information to be unreliable), a search using many variables of the names from 1790 to 1815 only turned up 2 matches –Laing to Campbell but not in Aberdeen.
Also tried finding a birth for James in Aberdeen abt 1814 but when Scots people was cross-referenced with LDS site the parents names are nothing like suggested.
I have also tried looking for reflection of names in his children – the only ones who do not fit in with his wife’s family are William, (first born so a possibility as his fathers name), Jane & Maryanne
Feel like I am beating my head against a wall! This one may have to stay shelved for awhile – patience is a virtue, wish I had some... Patience that is!! ::)

Thank you Isles & Monica for the search.
Isn't it unusual for that period of time for a baby/child not to be baptised?
The precognition papers are the only ones which ever mentioned Stonehaven as being his native place, all other records in Australia (including death certs & convict freedom papers) relating to him state Aberdeen as his native place but this could mean Aberdeen itself or anywhere in Aberdeenshire!

Kincardineshire / Stonehaven baptism - Laing
« on: Wednesday 12 November 08 04:38 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to find the baptism of James Laing about 1814.  He was sent to Australia as a convict, his precognition papers state Stonehaven as his native place. The LDS only have Church records of St. James' Episcopal Church, Stonehaven, 1756-1789.  Any ideas?

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Census lookup 61 & 71 Rebecca Bayley
« on: Tuesday 19 February 08 03:37 GMT (UK)  »
I would be grateful for a lookup in the '61 & 71 census for Rebecca Bayley/Bailey.  Rebecca was born between 1805 & 1809 at Birmingham.  I do not think she married.  On the 41 census she was living at Manchester Street with her mother (who died pre '51).  I think Rebecca may have died 1877 at Aston.  Any information would be wonderful.

Just had a read of the gazette issue you quoted , is it completely devoted to bankrupts?
