I also have just recently discovered my ALLEN and WALLACE connections to Co Antrim. Having quite a time finding anything further than Eleanor ALLEN married James WALLACE in 23 March 1826. Eleanor's father was deceased at this time and she was in an instutition. I have tried to discover what institution that would have been and someone suggested an orphanage as there was no mention of her mother. Even tho Eleanor's father was deceased his name was mentioned as George

Hi Christopher, thank you for your reply. yes i have previously made contact wtih Colin and one ohter person by the name of Beryl O'gorman but neither of them can help me as at this point there doesnt seem to be any connection to my Bridgeman branch. I find it so frustrating that they seem to be a twig that seems to be propped up without a trunk. Oh well....time.....

Bridget Bridgman did indeed marry an Italian with the surname of Passotti. They ran a hotel together. Further information on this couple will be very much appreciated

When i first started doing my genealogy research I only had pen and paper to correspond and record with. On going back over these papers I have discovered a letter from a Thomas KILBRIDGE also known as Thomas BRIDGEMAN. He mentions that often the KILBRIDGE name was used as BRIDGEMAN. Can anyone help me in regards to this family

More detailed information to add to above post.
Patrick BRIDGMAN had a son Michael BRIDGMAN. Michael married Anastasia AMBROSE in 1889, Newcastle, Co. Limerick, in the Roman Catholic Chapel of Newcastle. At the time of his marriage Michael was living in Timroo and Anastasia was living in Dunganville.

In the Griffiths Valuation of Ireland - Shanagolden, County Limerick 1848 - 1864, there is a Patrick BRIDGEMAN Finnoo, Kilmoylan, Limerick.
James BRIDGEMAN, Shanagolden  and a few other BRIDGEMAN in those areas

Michael & Anastasia had 6 children; Thomas J b c 1890, Robert J  b c 1892, Mary Ann b c 1893, Bridget (Bridy)b c 1894, (her married name may have been Passotti), James Philip BRIDGEMAN(this is my grandfather) b 24 May 1895, Edward b c 1897.
James Philip birth entry in the register says his father was a farmer in Finoe. The register is in the District of Shanagolden, Rathkeale.
On James Birth & Baptismal certificate the areas mentioned are Parish of Ballhahill & Loughill.

Thomas AMBROSE had a daughter Anastasia. She married Michael BRIDGMAN in Jan 1889, Newcastle, Co. Limerick, in the Roman Catholic Chapel of Newcastle. Interestingly enough they were married by R J AMBROSE C.C. Witness's were Thomas and Elizabeth AMBROSE. There is nothing to say if this was her parents or siblings. Anastasia's age was stated as full age. At the time of his marriage Michael was living in Timroo and Anastasia was living in Dunganville. In the Griffiths Valuation of Ireland - Shanagolden, County Limerick 1848 - 1864, there is a Thomas in the parish of Lower Newcastle.
I will be most grateful if anyone can help me to find further information on this family or steer me in the right direction
Thank you in advance

Am wondering if anyone can help me. I am researching the name of BRIDGEMAN/BRIDGMAN from Co. Limerick, Ireland. I have written down on a piece of paper, who knows where i got the information from.....O'Droichid is also a name for Bridgeman/Bridgman. Can anyone confirm that for me?
My family of Bridgeman is Patrick Bridgman had a son Michael Bridgman. Michael married Anastasia AMBROSE in 1889. Her father was Thomas AMBROSE.
Michael and Anastasia had Thomas J b about 1890, Robert J b about 1892, Mary Ann b about 1893, Bridget b about 1894, may have married a person with the surname of PASSOTTI, James Philip (My grandfather) born 1895, Finnow, Shanagolden, Co. Limerick and Edward b about 1897.

Hi there, I recently was given a very scarce photo of my grandfather that has been resurrected from the bottom of a forgotten pile. Unfortunatley it has paint spots on it so i was wondering if someone can do something with this so that i can view the photo without the extra spots
Thanks in advance
cheers
