Help please.  Trying to find info regarding Alfred Wilde b9/12/1889 Shropshire. (parents Robert & Ann Wilde)
He was my grandfather who did not speak of ww1 much only he went through from start to finish ending the last 6 months as PoW in Bulgaria. Was in major battles at the Somme. I got this information out of him very late in his life but I did not ask about his regiment. Now I have the almost impossible task of trying to trace his military records!
Can anyone help. I have had a half hearted attempt but failed and I do understand that a large portion of the records were burnt, One of his brothers, William (KSLI) was KIA 20/11/1917.

So where do you fit in the tree??
My G/father was Alfred wilde B 1889, GG/father was Robert Wilde B 1855(son of robert mansell wilde)

Aberdeenshire / Re: Help on George McGregor

Hello flst
Looked at the attatchment and found the entry highlighted and it matches up more or less with what I have.  What I'm puzzled about is what are all the submissions and was there an outcome?
Regards

Hello Monica & flst
Thanks for all the above looking good to me. One more piece of info I have is that george & emma had two girls that died in infancy Jane b 1857 & Sarah b 1860 which fits in.
I need to look at this deeper.
Regards to each. (need to take the dogs out now)
