Hi Marina,
Mary Ann Eiden is actually Mary Ann Newton Haydon---parent John/Ann---her baptism is on familysearch website at Topsham---how she got to Preston i still havent worked out----she is my great great grandmother,
i presume being from topsham she would have an accent that was strange to Preston--they wrote the name as it was pronounced

William is my 4xgreat grandfather--i am descended from his son John Hornby--unfortunately dont have any info about where he came from either--suspect his wife may be Elizabeth Houghton -married 21/9/1766 at St.Nicholas's,Liverpool--but no proof yet--will have to get into Liverpool to view copy of register to see if there is any more info

Hi Mike ,
thanks very much for reply,William Pearce(Pierce) was at The Nabb (Wrockwardine Wood -I think) in 1841,On my great great grandfathers (John Robinson) marriage cert it says his father was Samuel.According to all censuses John was born Wombridge/Donnington Wood /lilleshall, somewhere between 1826-29,cannot find him on 1841,there is mention of a Samuel on IGI with children in Lilleshall (but no John)
        thanks for looking,
            John
