Sorry to jump onto your thread but I was wondering whether anyone might have information on Martha Gibbins, born 1795 in Middleton, Northamptonshire (possibly) but moved to Hallaton after her marriage to John Liquorish in 1814. I think her parents were William b.1760 and Mary (nee Maides) and she had at least 3 elder brothers - William (1781), John (1786) and Henry (1793). Martha had 6 children, the last 2 were born years after her husband's death so their parentage is a whole other question, particularly my gg grandfather Skeffington b.1833.
Any additional information would be gratefully received

Pennie, that sounds very promising, thank you! I was basing it on his marriage records and hadn't even considered that he might only have been living there. I will look at the Thorpe Mandeville record

Hi, I hope someone may be able to help me. I am searching for a baptismal record for a John Curtis, b.1787 in Aston le Walls - he married Ann Penn in nearby Wardington, Oxfordshire but I can find nothing else on him and I would like to see if I can go further back with the family.

Does anyone have access to the Aston le Walls parish records and would be able to do a look-up for me please?

Hi Ann,
I didn't check the cemetery no, just the churchyard as we were running a bit late and according to my mum they had found her grandmother's gravestone propped up against the wall.
If you were able to check the cemetery as well that would be fantastic.
