Armagh / Re: BLACK & CLARK FAMILIES - ARMAGH
« on: Sunday 14 July 19 09:08 BST (UK)  »
Jo This is indeed the William Black & Eliza Jane Clark family I have.  I have both their death certificates and the family Mary B 1841 M James Brown :::William Samuel B 1844 ::: Agnus  B 1845 ::::John Alexander B 1848 M Lucinda Lavinia Myles ::: Margaret B 1853 ::: our Robert B 1853 M Caroline Drake :::your Maria  B 1857 (nothing on her at all):  Joseph B 1859 M Maria Margaret Browning :  Susan B 1861 (who you said witnessed the marriage of Maria - how lovely):  Thomas B 1862 and died 1862 along with his MUM.

Eliza Jane Black boarded the Chatsworth 11th April 1862 - just pregnant for a 4 months boat trip morning sickness, looking after 3 under 5 children on a very small ship (and I read there was a measles outbreak on board with many loss of lives) arriving in Brisbane 6th August --moving the family to accommodation at Fortitude Valley Brisbane central, what medical assistance did she have, and then losing her precious baby, Thomas on 10th January, 1863 and herself. Cannot imagine the thoughts going through her head! I have more but that's it for today.
Lee - Brisbane.

Would love to hear back from you Bourke - have been having a spell from family tree, but do need to look again. This sounds like it is my branch, where are you living, will look and advise you what I have. Anything new, would be great to read and see if it fits in to my tree.

Thank you for your reply - long time - James & Elizabeth Laffan. Yes I believe this is the family we are joined with. You have 11 children can you list. I show only 8.Thomas Burke 1868 - 1929  Elizabeth 1870 - 1912  John 1875  Maria Catherine 1877 - 1948  Mary Jane  1879 - 1952  Edward Andrew  1882  Charles James  1884  and Mary 1886.    Did your connection Charles James marry an Amy?  My link is through Thomas Burke  - I also have connections to the branch of Maria Catherine. Can send copies of certificates etc. if you want them. Let me know your e-mail.

Welcome Anne,
I think we may be from different trees.
I do not have any Eliza or Philip on my tree.
There are many var. Rescorl.........etc. so keep trying.

The Rick from the Twin Towers is not on my tree either.

It is all very interesting, and particularly when you get a hit.

Cheers,
Lee
