That's what I get for reading boards well after I should have been in bed!  I apologize.  Out of curiosity where are you?

Do you ever go to the Rivers family reunions?

Thank you for the tidbit about Droxford.  I've been looking for where in England Isaac Rivers came from for years!  Some days you feel like this is searching for a needle in a haystack.  Then one day you do a precursory search & find invaluable information.  It's always nice when it turns out like that.  :-)

Thank you so much for looking this up for me!  The road here in the States cuts off once Isaac Rivers arrived in South Carolina, USA because of the Civil War.  Again many thanks!

If anyone has access to any of the UK databases, I would appreciate if you would search for Isaac Rivers.  Someone else has written that he was from Droxford, England.  (I have no idea if this is accurate as this is the first time I've heard this information.)  Isaac Rivers was born approximately 1735.  Emigrated to & is buried in Chesterfield, South Carolina, USA.  He was married to Nancy Parker.

Looks like we're cousins!  My ancestor's name is Isaac Rivers.  He married Nancy Parker.  They settled in Chesterfield, South Carolina USA.  I have one correction though - there were 5 brothers.  I'm just curious - where did you find the information about them emigrating from Droxford?

Any help you can give is appreciated.

Thanks ..

My ancestor's name was Isaac Rivers. He had four brothers. He was born in Droxford in 1735. One brother was named Dudley, one was named William,  and I don't know the name of the other two brothers. All five of them came to America in 1770. If anyone can help me with any information, I would be truly grateful. Thanks, Bill....
