Durham / Re: Reginald Stanley Pratt
« on: Monday 06 November 17 18:13 GMT (UK)  »
Many thanks Candleflame.

After i had finished my previous post i looked up Durham Crem and saw it was on South Road and saw it had a burial ground which i searched the pdf file for and didnt find him.

I contacted the crem and they replied today. Reginald Stanley Pratt was cremated 21st July 1977 and his ashes scattered by staff.

Can't help feeling a little dissappointed that such a brave man has no headstone or memorial to his life.

Thanks again to all who responded

Thanks candleflame.

I checked the burial registers for Meadowfield and he's not there, so that might leave Durham Crem.

Thanks Barryd for the parish pointer. I can't see that it has a cemetery connected to it?

I have come across a few Nurses on the 1918/19 Absent Voters Register for Newcastle.

I believe Find My Past has registers online, maybe Darlington.

If not then Darlo library may have them.

Alas, no parish entry for Edward and Charlottes marriage on FindMyPast.

Thanks KGarrard and Trish1120

I never thought to look just across the border with Charlotte being born Hay, on the 1871census

Just returned from the library and free FindMyPast and got the Parish Register entry for Edward, marrying Eliza Nichols, Feb 19th 1842.

Next visit i'll see if i can find Edward and Charlotte's marriage in the Warwickshire Parish Registers.

Still no link to the Lilwalls?
