United States of America / Re: Fanny Culverhouse and son Henry arrival 1841

Hi all, we are going off course here, I have all Samuels details (except his first wife Emma French), and have all his descendants, he as far as I can see did not return to England. If any of the others had returned I am sure I would have found them by now.
Sarah who married Richard Turner emigrated to Australia with him arriving New South Wales 9 Nov 1840, that is why we have a mystery Sarah with Fanny and Samuel arriving America.
Was there an 1850 Massachusetts census or are there sections missing ? This would hold the clues. Thanks all for your interest and help. I have almost 5000 Culverhouse's in my data base about 20% North America/USA. Thanks again, Pete

Hi Lisa, none of the afore mentioned (including the elusive Sarah who came across with then) appear in the 1850, if any of them could be found in that census it would an advantage.
Samuel first possible marriage 18 Dec 1843 Williamsburg, Massachusetts to Emma French.
Second marriage (definite) 4 Sep 1851 Framingham, Massachusetts to Philena Frances Gallup (entered as Frances on most census)
I have now found the vital records of Massachusetts until year ending 1849 and I am trolling through it, thanks.

Hi all, another wall, Fanny Culverhouse 1813 Trowbridge, England and her illegitimate son Henry Culverhouse 1840 emigrate to America with her brother Samuel arriving New York 11 August 1841. I have full details for Samuel apart from 1850 census which might hold a clue to Fanny. Samuel died
17 May 1896 Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA. As always any help greatly appreciated, thanks, Pete

I now have a copy of Elizabeth Vaux Christening and the UX could easily be misread as IC. At the moment myself and a lady on Ancestry who is tracing same line and has the Great Berkhamsted records are using that as a guide line, Adam was married twice and Elizabeth is from the second marriage, thanks for all your help, without the Vaux link we would have both been at a wall at least now we have an opening. Thanks again.

Thanks again, I am also following up on surname Boyce, there was at least one family by that name in Northchurch at that time.

Thanks, I did mean a copy, strange that they married in Harpenden when they were from Aldbury/Northchurch area and all their children are Aldbury. For the moment I will continue to rule out the 1713 Elizabeth Voyce. Thanks again, Pete

Hi all, does anyone have or know where I can find the original transcription of this marriage please? Looking for any further information on Elizabeth, most trees have linked her to Elizabeth Voyce 1713
St Leonard's, Shoreditch, which means she would still have been having children at 52, whilst not impossible highly unlikely. If this link is proven I will have found 7x g grandparents as I already have her parents,(already have Culverhouse side). Thanks all, Pete
