Hi,this is the first time for ages that I've been able to use Rootschat again and I'm looking for a bit of help please, so hope I'm using the correct board.

A few years back I was able to pull up & print off  a list of all my posts (through my profile), which I kept for easy reference.

I've mislaid my original list, but quite a while ago when I tried to repeat the procedure by  going into 'my profile and 'show posts', it listed not just my posts my  but also the text.

Is there a way in which I can just get a list, showing subject title only as before, of all my posts?

I would appreciate advice on this please, any guidance at all,as a list of my posts would really help me to pick up and get started/renew my interests, with Rootchat again.

Thanks very much

Barbara.

Hi again Susie,

I am trying to put together a  Williams family tree at the moment and I wondered if you could help me out by telling me what your Grandfathers name was, so that I can fill out some of the gaps in the tree that I'm working on and confirm that my Grandfather and yours were brothers.
It would be great if I could do that.

I'd really appreciate any information that would help me put this tree together.

Cheers

Barbara.

Hello Susie, Barbara here, the originator of this post ( a good few years back now).

As I mentioned,I've been trying to trace Susan Ann Williams(my mother's cousin)
and Samuel Richard Busby, who married in Chester in 1915.
So it's really good to get some news from a family connection to Susan & Samuel at last.

My Mum was Sarah Ann Williams and her Father  - my Grandfather- was William Williams.

Could you confirm what your Grandfather's name was please, so that I can check my family notes and confirm that we are talking about the same  family.

I really hope we are, it would be great to be able help each other by  exchanging information and hopefully filling some gaps in my Family Tree.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Wishes,

Barbara.

Hi cfinny1234 & panda40.

Thanks very much both for the guidance re Personal Messaging.

For cfinny 1234, I will pursue the info you gave me, thanks very much.

For panda40. Thank you for your kindness back in 2008 when you spent some time in trying to trace 'Finn' graves in Saltwood for me - much appreciated.I cannot recall which/whose photo you  managed to get for me then but at the time you were unable to send it to me, emailing it wouldn't work for some reason. However, should it turn up at some stage in the future, please send it if possible.

Thanks again for your time.

Barbara.

Hi cfinny1234,

Thanks very much for your message.

It would be good to get in touch with your Dad's cousin Pat Roberts and possibly exchange information on the Finn Family but  it's not possible   to put email information on Rootschat but you can use the Personal Message facility on here to forward me Pat's email address.

I would PM you myself but am embarrassed to admit that I cannot remember how to use it myself at the moment, I've got out of touch a bit in the last couple of years.

I will try to figure out how to use the PM service and I'll get back in touch with you.

Barbara.

Hello cfinny1234,

Thank you for your interest in my old post of Nov 2008 regarding my 'Finn' Family Graves etc, it's good to see a possible connection with your family.

Due to family illness, I've unfortunately not had the time in the last couple of years to keep up with Rootschat and have only recently noticed your Post.

The Finns belonged to my late husband's side of the family,Richard & Emily Finn were his Gt Grandparents. His Grandmother was Mary Jane Finn, daughter of Richard and Emily.

I think and hope we are talking about the same family, you & I, and that we can exchange any information  we each may have to help each other with our research.

Good to be in touch, look forard to hearing from you.

Hi, I had already put this request on the  general board when I realised I should probably have put it on this Shropshire board so I hope this is ok to do.

I'm trying to find out how old the Three Pigeons pub in Albert Road, Oswestry,Shropshire is.
My Gt Grandparents ran it for about 11 years from 1902 - 1913 and I would like to know how long the pub had been in existence when they took it over.
Also, does anyone have any idea as to where I might be able to get any record that might exist showing details of their time there, it could fill in some gaps in their lives for me.
Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Please note that  I have also put this request on the Shropshire Board where I think I should have placed it at the start so I hope I don't cause any mixups,

Hi Jebber,

that method sounds like a good idea but I'm not very technical so could you tell me exactly how to print the contacts list to a PDF file and then save it, I think that's a great idea and I wish I could use it to save Emails as well.

Also, do you open a special folder for the PDF file? excuse me if that sounds a bit of a dopey question.

Cheers

Barbara.
