Thank you once again keyboard86. On-line ancestry tracking would be more difficult without fellow searchers like yourself with your arcane knowledge.  Long may you be there for us.

Hi Keyboard86.  Many, many thanks for the info. I am exceedingly grateful.

Apologies for being so vague about this one.  Trying to find birth of Hugh Thomas (possibly Holywell area) about 1730ish and his marriage to Elizabeth.

Would be grateful for any information, or a pointer in the right direction to other sources.

Had high hopes for this one, Trish, but ages are wrong. Sarah was 24 in 1851 and 34 in 1861. However, checking 1881 census again widowed Sarah's age is given as 49, so this may be a different Sarah altogether! She is 'head' of the household in 1891, with age as 59.  Back to the drawing board.

Thanks for your replies. I assumed (fatal, I know) that Sarah Thomas  had married 'the Jones boy  next door'. Jane is home in 1861 but not home in 1871. She returns as Sarah Jones, a widow, to the family home by 1881.

Shall have to look for another Jones who married Sarah Thomas in that time frame in Llanbeblig.

Thanks again for all your help.

Any help gratefully received.l

Hi Rosie99,

Only trace of her in Family Search is her birth in Dover C1882.  In 1901 she is living in Woolwich with her sister, Amy Thomas, having married the brother of her sister's husband Arthur. Don't know Minnie's sister's husbands first name. Several male sons in the Thomas family, who came from Liverpool. Both men were away serving with the Royal Artillery in the Second Boer War. Minnie seems to have disappeared after 190l. Minnie was one of four sisters, and I have photograph of them all taken when they were all in their 80s.

Would be eternally grateful if someone can locate Minnie Thomas (nee Kite) born in Dover, and family in Nottingham area - probably Beeston - in 19ll.  Here's hoping.
