Family arrived assisted to NSW per 'Anna' so Jane died after 21 Feb 1855.

The Moreton Bay Courier (Brisbane, Qld. : 1846 - 1861) - Saturday 16 April 1859 p.2
Two prisoners, David Cadwaller and John Williams, were brought here for trial, by the Clarence, on a charge of robbery and murder at Rockhampton on the 12th of March. The murdered man's name was Nevin Galt.

... In the matter of the Goods of NEVIN GALT, late of Rockhampton, deceased, intestate. Mr. BRAMSTON moved, upon affidavit, that the sum of £5 1s. 11d., belonging to the intestate, and in the possession of the Curator of Intestate Estates, should be granted to Mary Galt, the only daughter of Nevin Galt. Order made accordingly.

There are no Galt/Gault/Pauley/Paulie/Pawley/Pawlie deaths in Qld. index 1855 - 1862.

Jane/Jean possibly died 1855 - 1862. Looking for her death or any other ref to her after arrival.

The info I have on her parents and siblings gave me no hint to look in SA. They lived and died in Sydney suburbs.

Hi Cando,

I was not asking for the deaths of Edith's parents. I included them in brackets to indicate I knew who they were and for anyone who found a death reg with parents for them to know there was a match.

I have some experience but I don't think of everything all the time. I know ACI but I didn't think of searching SA. I post many things because I know I've probably missed something. Hoping to find more details to add to my large tree.

Vivian was born in Dubbo, NSW and his parents died in Strathfield, NSW. No SA connection there that I can see. Parents of both are all done now.

There is a difference with the S having a longer flat top than the J.

Also, the last letter looks to be raised - what's the right term?

Look at the S in Sarah and the J in January.

I'm leaning towards Saml.
