Yes I have them scanned that way - .jpg at 450 dpi is 450 MB
And a darker contrast version .jpg is 350 MB.
I'll upload them separately.

Thanks for that suggestion, I'll give it a go. Anything is worth a try  ;D

I couldn't attach a larger file - it is clearer at 450 dpi but too big to upload here.

Hi there
I have an old photo we are trying to id as an ancestor.
No one knows who she is.

Someone with keen eyesight has suggested there looks to be some handwritten words beneath the printed words THE NEW PHOTOGRAPHER.

I'm hoping someone with even more keen eyesight may be able to suggest what is or was written there  ;)

Can I ask people not to take time colourising or enhancing - all I am interested in is what may or may not be handwritten on the bottom of the pic.

Thanks in advance.

I totally agree.
However it is a very unusual and terrible time so maybe no-one is happy or able to be where they need to be to access the system to make the changes.
Hope you are faring ok over there (if you are indeed, over there..)
I'm fortunate to have a friend with FindMyPast to look records up for me as I have ancestry which has different records  :(

Many thanks Rosie99
I can see the record now and well understand why all the transcriptions differ  ;)

Lincolnshire / West Allington Parish Record - Unable to view on linkstothepast
« on: Monday 30 August 21 03:05 BST (UK)  »
Hi in Lincolnshire
I have a URL for a particular Parish Record but am seeing the notification that Adobe Flash Player is no longer supported (I am signed into linkstothepast site).
Is there another way to view this record......?

URL below:
WEST ALLINGTON PAR/1/3 Marriages, with banns pg. 3 https://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/RecordDisplayTranscript.aspx?oid=711555&iid=176904

I am wanting to see the Parish Record for the Marriage/Banns etc for ROBERT TAYLOR and MARY ASCAR 18 Jan 1785 • West, Allington, Lincolnshire, England

Hope someone can help with advice.
