New Zealand Completed Requests / Re: Stanley Victor Townsend

Thanks for your helpful input.  From her obituary entries I gather Stan & Doris (nee Hales) had two children - (*) presumably born in NZ, although they may now be in Australia.  So what's the best way to find their life events?

Thanks
Rob.

Looking for this person, born in Essex, England in 1928, who emigrated to New Zealand in 1955. I found him living with his wife? Doris Emily Townsend in Selwyn, Canterbury in 1963.

Thanks for any help.

Good Morning Ladies,

I though that WRIGHT may have been her birth name, but your census find wraps up the whole family in one go.
Thanks

Rob.

Carole W & nottsgirl1 you are both supersleuths!

If you like a challenge William Smith's wife's origins are also an enigma.  He married Sarah Ann Wright Parkes in 1906.  According to the 1911 census, she was born in Derbyshire on 1 Feb 1876 (DoB source : 1939 register). On the m/c her father was John Parkes, a provisions shopkeeper, and the witnesses were Joseph & Mary Jane Parkes - so where does the "Wright" come from?
Any ideas gratefully received

Rob.

Thank you both for your comments.

The witnesses were both on the wife's side!

What I plan to do is to apply to the GRO for his BC in 1883, with the father's name Thomas.  That way if it doesn't fit they will refund me the fee.  I'm about 90% sure now it is the Mar 1883 Nottingham birth with mmn Rogers.

Thanks again Rob.

Thank you for your response.  When William married in 1906 in Barnsley, his father was shown as a deceased bricklayer & gave an address in Grimethorpe, so at some point between his birth and his marriage he or his family must have moved from Nottingham to Yorkshire.

Good Evening,

I am looking for a William Smith born 21 Jan 1883 (source 1939 register) who was allegedly born in Nottingham (source 1911 census) & father Thomas Smith. Just trying to identify his birth or baptism.

Thanks for any assistance & sorry it is Smith,

Robert.

Good Morning,
This seaman married Margaret Niblock in Belfast in 1919 (found on PRONI site) but did they have any children?

If anyone is able to assist - many thanks
Rob.

Hello Carol,

I found from the death certificate that the lady in question actually lived in Bicester, so I may try any local cemeteries or crematorium there.

Robert.
