In 1871 the family are living at 14 Mount Vernon View, West Derby but Michael is recorded as Joseph TEENEY age 24 occupation Butcher, plus Margaret age 24 and Joseph Thomas age 2

I think he is with parents Thomas and Ellen and siblings in 1861 all born Ireland and in 1891 he is a widower living with Joseph, George and Margaret and he is recorded as born Ireland.

Don't think this is your Mary Jane.  According to Probate records she died 27th June 1932, wife of Gault McCALMONT.

There is a marriage record on Ancestry with just basic details.  Charles KING to Mary AMBROSE  13 Dec 1814 Lavenham, Suffolk.  This is some years after the birth date you have for Celia so it is possible that she was born as AMBROSE which may explain the late baptism as Celia KING late AMBROSE.  There are children of Charles and Mary so tracking them might give more clues.  ...all baptised Lavenham    Marianne 6 May 1815,  Charles 2 May 1816, Anne 23 March 1818 mother Mary Ambrose KING, Sarah 19 May 1818 mother Mary KING AMBROSE.

hope this helps

Looks like her baptism was 9 Dec 1822 at Lavenham, Suffolk father Charles KING mother Mary AMBROSE but there is another entry which refers to all parties as KING late AMBROSE.  As both witnesses at the 1827 marriage were named AMBROSE, that should give you something to look into.

I have many marriage certificates, both RC and CofE.  The CofE certificates say the marriage took place in the Established Church....does yours not say that?

You say there is a Canadian history to this family.  Are you aware that Owen CORRIGAN was Godfather to Mary Catherine SHERRIFF in 1870 and in 1871 Owen CORRIGAN married Catherine SMITH daughter of Joseph and Mary.

They obviously spent some time in Canada as 2 of their children born there before they came back to live in Sale, Cheshire.
