Hi all...

Apologies for not using names :-)

BDM NZ Births fiche has a hand-written entry for a 1909 birth. At the end of the entry is written "Sec 14 Vol 10"

The same 1909 birth on the BDM NZ website has registration number 1971/xxxxxx (apologies for not using the actual six digit number)

The father is NR (not recorded)

Does anyone have an idea as to what's going on.

And if I purchase the birth certificate should I buy online via the website using registration number 1971/xxxxxx or fill in an application form and post it off to the DIA using registration number 1909/xxxx
