The Common Room / Nurses.

Hi can anyone tell me how i can find any information about a possible family member,who i understand was a nurse,does anyone know of a a site or organistion that i can contact to find if this is true,and to see if i can get any further information on this person,the person would have been nursing from 1910 onwards,she died in 1974.I have looked on British nursing association site but nothing mentioned on their.

Lincolnshire / Storrs family

Hi im looking into my fathers side of the family,but i cant find alot of information,
I have his parents as Ivy Grace Moody b 27th June 1915,(dont know where this was,its on death certificate, She married Dennis Storrs June 1936 in Glanford Brigg (scunthorpe) Ivy apparently died dec 1974 Glanford brigg.(although i dont remember her at all).
Dennis Storrs b1913-d 1965 scunthorpe(although i havent found this death ive been told by family member)
The above is the only info that i haved any further information would be greatly appreciated on either of them or there respective families,i unfortunatly have had no contact with my father or his family since 1977 so im unable to ask.

Hi im wanting to find anyone connected to the surname Driffill,from Lincolnshire,east riding of yorkshire,west yorkshire,or any where else in the uk or abroad.
I am researching my family tree and im trying to tie up loose ends within my tree,
I myself am connected via my maternal Great grandmother Rose hannah Driffill b 17th feb 1873 Scunthorpe,d 1974 Scunthorpe,married dec 1913 John thomas Barnes b 1875 Kingerby lincs d 1950 Scunthorpe.
Looking forward to hearing from any further or current family members

Hi ive found a relative of mine has married a lady from the above place i think,according to a birth and baptism record on ancestry search.
Mary Ann Frances Hayden b 1911,i have a ireland select catholic birth and baptism 30th Oct 1911 father telu hayden and mary,
I have looked on 1901/11 census for the family but cant find anything,There is a peter whos married to a mary but with my mary not been born till oct 1911 shes not on the census,is there any way i can find anything on this family please.
Im wanting any info on marys parents and family and whenand how she located to england,she married in 1938 my relative James William Barratt in my home town scunthorpe lincs she died 1997 Winterton Lincs

The Common Room / Help on deciphering 2 people with the same name

Hi can anyone help me im so confused and dont know which records belong to who,my problem is that i have 2 people with the same name and year of birth, born same village, to different parents.
1) James William Barrett b 1899,to Edwin/Edward Barrett b 1855 Winterton and Catherine Drakes b1858 Belton Lincs.

2) James William Barrett b1889 Winterton,to James Barrett b 1857 Winterton and Ellen Amelia Cobb b1861 Diss, Norfolk.

This makes them both my 1st Cousin 4x Removed,unfortunatly i have found records for military service with the East Yorks Regiment,Royal Engineers,enlisted 3rd/4th November 1914 at Beverley nr hull,Regiment number 14124,
I have also found a death and probate records for 1956 living Winterton.Effects to a Mary Ann Frances Barrett,as ive found no marriage for either of them i dont know who to add this record to either.

But i dont know which one of the 2 of them to attach to,any help would be greatly appreciated,
and i wasent sure where to post this message either

World War One / Service Bn The Welsh Regiment,The Welsh Pioneers

Hi can anyone help me with the above i have found a new relative of mine Wilberforce Howard Cooke,he has married into my family and ive found that he enlisted in 1915 to the above via attestation papers but there not very legible,I have managed to find that he had 2 regimental numbers 42258 and other regimental number 80077.
Can anyone help me with this,any information will be greatly received

Hi can anyone help me im getting confused,
I am looking for the lady above i have her baptism on 15 April 1815 in Preston by Hedon,with her parents John Parker b 1793 Preston,Sarah Fish b 1789 Althorpe lincs.I have checked and cant find anything else on this person,several people on trees say she died in 1823,1825 and 1829 in Preston.

Ireland / Kate Mahoney,Oola, County Limerick b1855

Hi can anyone please help me im looking for the person above,
and her parents John O Mahoney b abt 1830 newton Oola,limerick,
Margaret Carroll b abt 1830,dont know where,
john and margaret had a son Brian Mahoney b abt 1852,
and another daughter Margaret "Ellen" Mahoney b abt 1857,
I cant find anything on this family at all, all i know is that Kate Mahoney Emmigrated to NZ with a family called Brown who where farmers from Limerick,they sailed from London to Wellington in 1876, she married my relative Charles Parker.
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi im baffled this women doesent exist other than she was the mother of a lady who married into my family.
She married John Fish on 30th Nov 1785 in Althorpe Lincs. John was born 1763 Horkstow, Lincs,they had 2 daughters Mary b 1806 East Butterwick, Lincs, d 1879 Glandford Brigg, Lincs.
Sarah b 1789 Derrythorpe,Lincolnshire she married my relative John Parker b 1793 Preston,Yorks,they married 31st May 1814 Paull, Yorks,(preston and paull are on the outskirts of Hull)

Any help greatly appreciated
