I had a look on FreeBMD for likely births and found the following; George Sept Qtr 1869 Prescott; Mary Ann Dec. Qtr. 1865 Prescott; That is the only ones I found in Prescott, however in South Shields Co Durham there is a Francis McNally Mar Qtr 1878, and  Rebecca McNally South Shields Co Durham Mar. Qtr 1876. This last one for Rebecca would have only made her 5 years old on the 1881 census, so may not be the two you are looking for.
Regards.

Mary Ann McNally b 1865, Prescot has mmn Durkan
George 1869 has mmn Murphy

Added
The two South Shields births have mmn McAffee.

Presumably you have searched by names and then the street. Have you tried searching for neighbours from 1911?
I haven’t used a search with 1921 since it was first published and my family’s street was transcribed wrongly.

You’re going to be very busy!
All good places too.

Oh, you will have a great time and even just wandering around those places will be rewarding.

I thought you said you had nothing on Margaret other than the details in your first post.
I must have missed it.
So she is the one who dies in Strokestown, Roscommon district.
I have been searching Griffiths etc to try to confirm /exclude her. I should have continued reading.

Glad you seem to be sorted now.

It would be good to find Margaret snr’s death.
The death you have for Edward/Edmund has him married, doesn’t it.

James Whittaker who marries Ellen Teresa Byrne, is in the RIC, then a Police Pensioner during the years of his children’s births to Josephine in 1894.
In 1901 he is a labourer and then a time keeper.

If you think there are definitely two James Whittakers, have you found an alternative candidate with a father Edmund?
