My attempt:

Deloraine
22nd September 1845

Sir,

I beg to inform you that I held my inspection for August at this Depot today.
The men were more orderly than they have been but did not look so clean or so steady as those of the regular stations.
The clothing was in bad order, and many of the men were without bedding. There were none in store to supply the deficiencies.
The provisions have been very good and well cooked but the bread though otherwise good has been sourish in consequence of the indifferent quality of the yeast.
The Barracks cells to were in very fair order but I observed that many of the bunk boards had disappeared even since my last inspection.

My attempt:

The road being quite impassable prevents my visiting the station. I have however seen the VM and I regret to find that Mr Pineo cannot keep the station men in order and in fact whether from inability or inattention shows his unfitness for his office. I shall bring the recent misconduct of the men before His Excellency I shall at the same time report my opinion again of Mr Pineo's insufficiency.

Modified to add:
not sure about "VM" - maybe ?A.

Maybe Mr. F. Lancastar  :-\

Also not sure about Pineo.

Yes, there was this article on the ABC about his story a while ago in 2016.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-08-23/anthony-albanese-search-finds-father-he-thought-was-dead/7776918

Still don’t know how he was registered under Albanese rather than his mother’s surname, Ellerry. No father named on b/c. Either mother told a fib that her surname was Albanese, or it was permissible to give father’s surname despite parents being unmarried and father not being named as father on the cert.  ???

It seems from the ABC article that his mother fibbed - not just to the Registry but to many.

The link to the petition was given in the opening post.  :D

Having heard the PM talk about funding the Arts, and some comments from the Treasurer in the past week or so, I'm slightly more optimistic about the general direction of funding in this area. As for what happens to trove itself, I'm not sure. The more signatures on the petition the better.

Australia / Re: Roy Howard Baker.

I doubt very much that it was Roy in 1933 and 1934 in the school concert and the Sunday school concert as he would have been 16/17 years old then and no longer going to school.

As per my reply, Lionel was the brother reported as appearing at the school concert in 1933, as he would have been around 11 at the time that sounds right. I agree that Roy may be little old to be the R. BAKER in the Sunday School concert in 1934, not impossible though as "Sunday School" could include high school aged children. However it mentions E. BAKER as a senior girl, so presumably Enid aged around 15.

Davedrave beat me to finding it on the map. That's the one I found, Sutton is just north of Pickhill and Bangor is y coed.
