Not any help in finding the licensee you're after, however this item says there were over 33 licensees.
Empty since 2019.

Doesn't help with a passenger list, however there is mention of Watson Bros, Kimberley in 1899 in a couple of newspapers re the Boer War.

"Messrs Watson and Company, Limited, of Belfast, yesterday received the following cablegram from Messrs Watson Brothers of Kimberley:- "Quite safe; everybody confident."

There is a Bella MARWICK (domestic) in Canada in 1911. I know it says born England in Aug 1871, however there are no MARWICK children born England that sound like Bella around this time on FreeBMD. A possibility?

Not related to deciphering the name, but is it something new that new members' posts don't seem to appear straight away? It seems that A1Walker made their reply before the rest of us (after Cas's post), yet when we replied the post wasn't there?  Doesn't really matter, but just looks odd.  :-\

Sounds fascinating. Hope the baker wasn't involved in some sort of Sweeny Todd like case.

New Zealand Completed Requests / Re: William Marshall

*   Was your William MARSHALL (ordinarily) of the Roman Catholic faith ??

His father was "18 years caretaker and member of the Epping Presbyterian Church". From memory other family members were also Presbyterian. Doesn't necessarily mean that William was though.

A Tasmanian death certificate at this time (1922) should show the number of children, but not their names.

Welcome to RootsChat from me too.

My first thought was "Anton WALKER" nurseryman.

However, after Cas's post I found there is quite a few advertisments around 1902, selling bicycles "Auton Walker 4 New Station St, Leeds"

And earlier an Auton WALKER of Cundall Lodge, Boroughbridge, sounds like a farmer in an action against an employee absenting himself from work.
